C. Vaughn Evans, 88 of Clarksburg passed away on July 7, 2018 at the Louis A Johnson VA Medical Center. He was born February 3, 1930 in Salem, son of the late Cecil Lee Evans and Clarice Pratt Evans Utter. Vaughn was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was a truck driver and car mechanic all of his life. He enjoyed working on cars, fishing and hunting. He would love socializing with his friends at the mall. He is survived by six children, Terry Evans, Frederick, MD, Richard Evans, Robert Evans, Catherine Evans, Melissa Evans, all of Clarksburg; Mark Evans and wife Kay, Volga; ten grandchildren, Lee, Jarrod, Skyla, Amanda, Tiffany, Tesla, David, Kayla, Nick and Brittany; several great grandchildren; four siblings, Doris Jean Davis and husband Duane, William Evans and wife Verna, Dortha Chipps and Carlton Utter all of Salem. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four siblings, Mary June Shrader, Brian Utter, Joan Blake and Leon Utter. Family will receive friends at Greathouse Funeral Home, 1999 W. Main Street, Salem, on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 from 3-8 pm, where funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at 11:30 am. Interment will follow at the West Virginia National Cemetery where military honor will be accorded by the Harrison County Honor Guard and the Army Honor Guard.
